Cikgu Suffi believes that to cultivate digitally literate students, teachers must first be empowered. During the pandemic, he produced 213 Google Classroom tutorial videos with nine other teachers, benefiting over 23,000 educators nationwide. From this initiative emerged Akademi YouTuber, a movement founded on the spirit “Alone we are ordinary, together we are extraordinary.” Today, more than 1,200 teachers in the movement have created over 25,000 educational videos and 6,350 free online tuition classes, expanding access to quality education for students while empowering teachers in digital skills.
