Cikgu Zizi’Azniza binti Mohd has dedicated herself to bridging the gap for students in rural communities. Growing up in a village and coming from a family of educators, she knows firsthand how access, or the lack of it, can shape a child’s future.Determined to break cycles of limitation, she established two Cyber Cafes within the school’s dormitories, providing accessible internet and computer facilities so students can revise, explore, and collaborate beyond classroom hours. Resourceful and tenacious, she secured equipment through outreach with various agencies and even repurposed items from public sector disposals, demonstrating how thinking out of the box can turn limited resources into powerful opportunities for students. Her work extends beyond infrastructure. By integrating project-based learning with digital tools, she equips her students with both technical skills and critical thinking abilities. As a result, her students are not only improving in attendance and academic achievement, but are also stepping into leadership roles and participating confidently in competitions and community projects such as their most recent involvement in the International Robotic Competition 2025. For Cikgu Zizi, technology is not just a tool, but a bridge to opportunity.
