Cikgu Aishah Hamdan is one of the Top 5 Finalists of the Malaysia Teacher Prize. She is an English teacher from SMK Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Perak. Cikgu Aishah is very active in handling project-based learning and developing innovations for her teaching method. One of her earliest innovations is the ‘DIY Literature Exhibition’ that brought together 52 schools in Kinta Utara. She also managed to bring the learning of English subject to a higher level when she produced a musical theatre, ‘Sing to the Dawn,’ which attracted more than 4000 viewers. She believes it is her duty as an educator to polish her student’s potential. The impact of her efforts could be observed when her students are more confident in expressing themselves and increase the percentage of SPM English 2019. The success of her students has encouraged Cikgu Aishah to continue her project-based learning method. The profit from her theatre was donated to the school and charity.
