Zulhijri has served as the Chief Assistant Director of the Student Affairs Unit, JPN Melaka. He has served in the field of education for almost 23 years and is currently continuing his studies part-time at the P.H.D level in Strategic Management at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.Among the awards he has received are Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang APC (2006 and 2017), Anugerah Emas Pementoran Pendidikan Melaka ( 2021),Anugerah Mutiara Mubarak (Majlis Bekas Wakil Rakyat) in 2023 and Kategori Perkhidmatan Awam dan Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K) in 2017.He has been involved as a panel in Panel for the Construction of Guidelines, Handbooks and Modules at the Ministry of Education (National) and State (JPN) levels in the field of Student Character Building, Psychometric Interpretation, Daily Dormitory Transformation, Counseling Management for Students, Guidelines for Dealing with Bullying and so on.
