Malaysia Teacher Prize

Malaysia Teacher Prize is organised to appreciate, celebrate and highlight outstanding teachers in Malaysia. This Prize is the first of its kind which represents the Global Teacher Prize brand in Malaysia to recognise local teachers on a national scale and provide a platform to scale their best practices with its tagline, “The Power of A Teacher, The Potential of A Nation”.

MTP Summit 2025

The Malaysia Teacher Prize (MTP) Summit 2025 brought together over 1,000 participants, including educators, policymakers, school leaders, civil society partners, and students from across Malaysia. Held over two days, under the theme “A Step Together, In Shaping The Future,” the Summit continued to position teachers at the heart of national education transformation, highlighting their influence not only within classrooms, but across the broader education ecosystem.

The programme featured 6 keynote sessions, 5 plenary sessions, and 13 panel discussions, alongside 12 workshops led by Finalists and external partners, and participation from 11 exhibition partners. In total, 108 speakers contributed to robust discussions on leadership and system reform, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, teacher professional identity and wellbeing, child safety, and multiliteracies.

The Summit concluded with the Award Ceremony, where the Top 10 Finalists were recognised and Cikgu Siti Ainulmursyida from SMK Orkid Desa, Kuala Lumpur, was crowned the Winner of the Malaysia Teacher Prize 2025. With a total prize pool of RM145,000, complemented by a postgraduate scholarship partnership, the event reaffirmed a national commitment to elevating teacher excellence and strengthening Malaysia’s education ecosystem.
